About Kailey
Kailey Myers didn't just play the game โ she rewrote record books. A Norton, Ohio native who turned four varsity letters and back-to-back All-Northeast Ohio honors into one of the most decorated careers in Slippery Rock University history, Kailey was a four-year starter at shortstop for the Rock and the kind of hitter pitchers genuinely feared.
Her 2018 season was a statement. She hit .419 with 8 home runs and 39 RBI, slugged .661, and posted a .493 on-base percentage โ ranking top-six in the entire conference in average, on-base, and slugging. That year she was named PSAC West Athlete of the Year, an NFCA All-Region and All-PSAC West selection, and a two-time PSAC West Athlete of the Week. She homered in three straight games against Edinboro and led the team in both multi-hit and multi-RBI games.
But the number that tells you who she is under pressure: she hit .489 with runners in scoring position. When the game was on the line, she delivered โ every time.
Kailey left SRU ranked top-10 in program history in both walks and RBI and top-15 in home runs โ a complete hitter who could control the strike zone, drive in runs, and flip a game with one swing. And she did it as a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, so the work ethic off the field always matched the production on it.
Now she's bringing that same standard to her hitters. Kailey teaches the whole package โ plate discipline, power, two-strike approach, and the mental game that separates the good from the elite. Whether you're chasing a varsity spot, a college look, or just trying to fall back in love with hitting, you're learning from someone who lived it at the highest level.
Lessons with Kailey aren't about going through the motions. They're about getting better. Let's go to work.
